it's raining outside softly small pins
strike the ground
my screen glows brightly draining the
light from the room
entries reports dates quotes all recede
and enlarge
vision encompasses the whole of
insignificance
breath tango's slowly, seductively,
lungs cheer desperately
no pain, only the lingering sensation
of uncaring
images flash and die, goldfish in an
algae-grown pond
the round brown horse with the red
label rears at me
I hop on for another sip, make it
better
my mount deposits me into the familiar
realms of up there
floating gently away on a fluffy black
ball of soot...
